Parish Church of our Lord ̕s Ascension in Bogojina
The Parish Church of our Lord̕ s Ascension is a famous monument of sacral architecture by Slovenia̕ s great architect Jože Plečnik. The Romanesque old church and Gothic features from the 14th century were preserved in their original form in which he included the entrance shed in the new view of the church in the 30s of the twentieth century. It has a round tower with a belfry, plates on the ceiling and amphorae on the main altar, and a wealth of other splendid details which makes this church as most important buildings of modern sacral architecture in Slovenia.
