The Scops Owl and Hermit Beetle Theme Trail in Nuskova begins at the parking lot, right next to the mineral water spring. At the first information board, visitors will find a map highlighting the stations with fascinating interpretive elements along the route. The trail focuses on two key species: the scops owl and the hermit beetle, which inhabits the distinctive pollard willows.
As visitors walk the trail, they learn about the habitats of these two species, as well as the cultural landscape of the Ledava River valley, characterized by its iconic willows. Along the way, they also discover how mineral water is formed, and through various skill-based challenges, they experience how the hermit beetle navigates its environment.
Information along the trail is available in both Slovenian and English.
One of the stations offers a unique challenge for visitors: those with slackline equipment can set it up on ready-made posts (15 m), adding an extra layer of adventure to their visit.
